SERVES 6/8 :

200 g dark chocolate, chopped

150 g sugar

70 g plain flour

pinch salt

125 g unsalted butter, diced

3 eggs

½ tsp baking powder

150 g pecans


  • 1- Heat the oven to 180 °C (170 °C fan, gas mark 4).
  • 2- Place the chocolate and butter in the metal bowl. Run EXPERT, 5 minutes/speed 3/60 °C. If necessary, scrape down the wall of the bowl.
  • 3- Add 100g of the pecans, the sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder and salt. RestartEXPERT, 1 minute/speed 8 (without heating). At the end of the programme, pour the batter into a square brownie tin (24 x 24cm) buttered and lined with baking paper.
  • 4- Scatter the remaining pecans over the surface and bake for 25 minutes. Lightly cool the brownie, before turning it out.
