MAGIMIX NEWS

Here we share our latest news from the press, on current promotions, new products and how to make the most of your Magimix appliance.

We recently saw a Reddit article about what people use their Food Processor for, so we thought we’d share! Here are just a few of the many ways you can use a Magimix Food Processor, taking advantage of it’s multifunctional capabilities:

Precision-slice fruit and vegetables with ease

Precision-slice fruit and vegetables with ease Do you ever wish you could quickly slice your vegetables perfectly even and thin? Magimix turns this dream into a reality! Made in France, our Food Processors come with both 2mm and 4mm surgical-grade steel slicing discs that provide perfectly level slices, ideal for preparing salads, coleslaw; even Sunday lunch.

When you pair this with an XL feed tube, you’ll find it’s your new best friend in the kitchen, allowing you to slice whole or large chunks of fruits and vegetables at a time. These could be anything from onions, leeks, potatoes, tomatoes, olives, or even squash, cheese, and meat. The XL feed tube fits whole fennel to cut against the grain for tender raw salads and creates length-way ribbons of courgette. Simply marry up the size of the vegetable with your choice of feed tube. Emulsify sauces, dips, and salad dressings

You can create a variety of sauces and dips in your Magimix Food Processor. From pesto to peanut sauce, aioli to romesco, these machines make it easy to customise flavours to your liking. Depending on the model, our Food Processors come with different-sized BPA-free bowls, which are perfect when blitzing small quantities.

Fed up with runny mayonnaise? Create super thick mayonnaise with our superior emulsifying power. The blade design and positioning at the base of the bowl provides superior emulsification with even the smallest amounts. Also, the Magimix has an oil/liquid drizzler built into the feed tube that makes emulsifications simple and successful every time. Additionally, the Magimix BlenderMix attachment improves the blender function by deflecting liquid inwards onto the chopping blade, and allows you to mix liquids with minimum leakage. Rather than being a labour-intensive task, using a Food Processor to make your own sauces and dips can make cooking a really enjoyable experience. So, next time, feel free to have a go at whipping up a classic hummus. Try the recipe here.

Grate cheese & chocolate, chop meat & vegetables

Laborious chopping and grating are a thing of the past with a Food Processor. One of the reasons why Magimix Food Processors are so special, is that they come with two 4mm and 2mm grating discs, which are so precise that you won’t have any clumping or waste leftover. These machines make it easy to process ingredients like cheese or carrots quickly and efficiently, making them useful for households with large families. Our largest model, the Magimix 5200XL Food Processor, can even grate 1.4 kg of carrots in a single operation.

When it comes to chopping, the Sabatier stainless steel blades that come with our Food Processors are razor-sharp, and make chopping meat or vegetables seem like a breeze. You’ll find that your vegetables won’t turn to mush, and you’ll have perfect pieces ready for cooking in seconds. The blades also stay sharp with high-grade steel and a self-sharpening serrated design. Try this chilli con carne recipe to put those blades to the test!

Press fruits & extract juice

With the addition of the Extra Press attachment, a Magimix Food Processor can easily transform into a juicer, allowing you to create your own juice without the need for a separate appliance, or driving to the shops. So, whilst you’re being more sustainable, you’re also creating a delicious fresh juice that you can’t get in any store. It can even juice almonds or coconut flesh to produce milk or cream! Knead bread dough

One amazing feature of a Magimix Food Processor is its ability to expertly knead dough. This opens up a whole world of possibilities, you can make perfect dough for buns, brioche, focaccia, falafel, pitta, pies, tortillas, naan, pizza, or even pasta. Simply run the Food Processor, and you’ll have a whole batch of bread dough in only 30 seconds, saving you precious time. Not to mention, you can let the machine do all of the hard work, without the physical strain of traditional kneading methods, making it easy, convenient, and quick. Unlike other Food Processors on the market, we have a commercial-grade induction motor that can handle kneading dough daily. They even come with a 30-year motor guarantee! If you’re keen to put this to the test, try our Gingerbread Loaf recipe here: it’s delicious and easy to make.

Mix and blend cake batters and pastry

Magimix It’s no wonder Magimix is the favourite with chefs from Jamie Oliver, to Mary Berry and Nigella. Our Food Processors are famous for their ‘all-in-one’ cake method and can mix up a batter in as little as 7 seconds. The key things to remember are to use room temperature butter and not to overmix. Just a few pulses is all you need. Blend together the lightest and flakiest pastry, crumble toppings, biscuits, shortbread, or scones.

The Magimix Food Processor also mixes together hard and cold butter with flour in seconds. Whether it be shortcrust, pie, puff, pate sucre or pate brisee, all are made easy with Magimix. To see for yourself, have a go at this puff pastry recipe here. For egg whites, the whisk beats gradually, giving them more structure and volume. You can also mix batter for crepes, which can be used for almost any meal, from savoury chicken crepes for lunch, to sweet Nutella crepes for dessert!

We’re curious to know how many of these functions you’ve used, so let us know how many of these you’ve tried and what your favourites are!
